How to Avoid and What to do if Audited by the IRS

Based on his years of experience at the IRS and now in the private sector, Mike will be giving a presentation entitled How to Avoid and What to Do If Audited by the IRS.  This will focus on estate and gift tax returns.  Mike will introduce the structure of the IRS as it relates to these types of returns. Following that introduction insights will provided on what to do before the return is filed, steps to take given the IRS classification processes, steps to take on audit, and what to do if the case is unagreed and proceeds to Appeals or litigation.  This should be helpful to practitioners, clients and those interested in knowing how to navigate these processes on behalf of their clients.
